Experience
I have been a paraprofessional for the past two years and have worked with children 5-8 on reading and writing. I also homeschooled my own three children for 13 years. They entered the public school system when they were 13, 10 and 8 and have all been receiving A's and B's from the beginning. I taught classes in poetry, playwriting, theater and creative movement for the homeschool group we were a part of. I also took graduate level courses in Education at Antioch University prior to having children. I love working with children of all ages and helping them to realize their own strengths and potential. I believe that each child has unique talents and abilities, but may need more help in others. I am interested in helping raise their confidence in the areas they are unsure about and help them achieve their goals.
